If you’re looking for someone to confide in or someone to give you counsel regarding particular issues in your life, I would be honored to meet with you. From a faith-based perspective, I will equip you with effective techniques to help you overcome whatever trial you face. We all benefit from having someone in our corner, someone reliable and trustworthy who will listen to our hurts without judgment and offer valuable advice from a place of compassion and sincere concern. It is my privilege to be able to fill that role for my clients.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goals as a counselor include helping you to improve your relationships, develop new and healthy ways to communicate, and change any unwanted behaviors. My hope is for you to find peace in your life where there might be trouble, to strengthen your faith in Jesus, and to have a space to be heard and vulnerable as you grow into the person you want to be, with God’s help.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
As a strength-based therapist, I enjoy building from my clients’ strengths. I like to meet my clients where they are and work from there. During our sessions, you can expect to find a therapist who is kind, compassionate, understanding, and non-judgmental. I seek to provide a safe space where shame can’t survive—a place where you will experience the freedom to be honest as we explore ways to overcome whatever challenges have arisen in your life.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
By acknowledging God as our Rock and our ever present help in times of trouble, we have the opportunity to rely on Jesus for help and guidance and to find comfort in knowing that He is walking beside us every step of the way. Isaiah 43:5 says, “Do not be afraid, I am with you.” This is God’s promise to us. We are never alone. With a Christian approach to counseling, I appreciate being able to work with the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.
