With warmth and honesty, I will help you gain clarity in how you see yourself, your relationships, and your connection with God. My goal is for you to be reassured that you are seen and valued as we collaborate to identify the best therapeutic plan for your life. I desire to ensure what is learned in counseling doesn’t stay in the session; instead, we will discuss how you can use these insights in your daily life. My focus is not just awareness but application so what we work on shows up in how you live, think, and relate every day.

About

My work is grounded in faith, integrity, and a genuine commitment to helping you experience real change. Whether you’re looking for counseling for children, teens, couples, adult individuals, or families, I provide structured programs and assessments tailored to specific relational, emotional, and spiritual areas. You can expect a thoughtful process that is designed to produce lasting change. Whether your foundation is faith-based or not, I will meet you where you are while guiding you toward truth and stability. I want you to leave our sessions knowing what is true, what needs to change, and how to move forward with confidence and purpose.

My Goal as a Christian Counselor

My goal is to help you get to the root of what’s shaping your life, not just manage symptoms. From there, I will work to help you grow in both mental and emotional health by giving you the awareness and the tools to confront what you’ve been avoiding with clarity, not fear. A major part of my work is helping people recognize that they have permission to change. Change requires courage, but it also requires the right skills. As we work together, you’ll build stronger relationships, grow in emotional stability, and gain a clearer understanding of your faith.

What I Offer in Christian Counseling

I offer a structured, intentional process that moves beyond conversation into real, lasting solutions and growth. In both individual and couples counseling, you will receive tools, language, and exercises to help you recognize patterns in real time so you can respond differently. I also incorporate creative expression, including musical poetry, to access deeper clarity when words feel limited or bound. If desired, I create space to integrate prayer and faith that feels genuine, not forced, helping you engage your relationship with God with clarity while gaining needed comfort.

My Approach to Christian Counseling

My approach to Christian counseling is rooted in truth, transparency, and genuine care. Creating a secure space where you can feel safe enough to be fully seen and transparent without fear of judgment or shame is paramount for me. Clinically, this benefits clients because we are able to address what is actually happening beneath the surface, which leads to more accurate understanding and effective change. Spiritually, this approach allows clients to engage their relationship with God along with personal beliefs from a place of honesty instead of performance. There is no need to appear “put together.” Instead, you will begin supportively encouraged to let your guard down as you bring your real thoughts, struggles, and questions before God with clarity and sincerity. The result is a deeper level of inner healing while your surrounding relationships benefit from your transformation. You will be cared for emotionally and mentally.

Biography

Qualifications & Experience

I hold a Master of Science (MS) in Couples & Family Therapy from Seattle University, a Master of Arts (MA) in Community Development from Prairie View A&M University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Communication (Journalism Concentration) from University of Phoenix.

My background includes over nine years in pastoral counseling, along with experience in mentorship, coaching, and community mental health. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and children in both private and community-based settings.

I’ve also spent years leading workshops on relationships and communication, mentoring young adults, and building structured programs focused on growth and development. My work is shaped by both clinical training and real-life experience walking alongside people in meaningful seasons of change.

My Call to Christian Counseling

My journey into counseling started with a simple question. In a conversation one day, someone asked me if I had ever considered psychology. At the time, it caught me off guard—but it stayed with me. For a while, I set it aside and moved in a different direction, even preparing to pursue a PhD in communications. But as I approached the end of my Master’s program, that same question resurfaced and didn’t leave me. I came to recognize that this wasn’t something new. I had already been mentoring, guiding, and providing pastoral counsel for years. Counseling wasn’t a shift—it was a confirmation. I could see that God had been preparing me all along.

More About Me On a Personal Note

I’m deeply rooted in creative and purpose-driven expression. I love musical poetry, writing, preaching, teaching, and mentoring. Each one allows me to connect with people in a way that brings truth, clarity, and growth. I’m especially passionate about strengthening the church and family unit within African American and Asian communities, and helping people gain clarity in their purpose and direction.

At the core of who I am is a commitment to being a safe person. That matters to me deeply in every role I carry, whether as a therapist, pastor, poet, or writer.

On a personal level, I enjoy creating therapeutic tools that bring closeness and genuine love into relationships. I’m a strong believer in the healing power of music, especially through songwriting.

I also value stillness. Spending time with God and embracing quiet moments keeps me grounded and centered.

Infidelity and Affairs

If you are navigating infidelity—whether you’ve been deeply hurt or you’ve caused the hurt—I want you to know this is a space where you can slow down and be honest about what you’re carrying. This is not just about what happened, but about understanding what was happening beneath the surface—within you, within the relationship, and within the patterns that led here.

Together we will address the pain, the questions, the breakdowns, and the unmet needs with honesty and accountability, so lasting healing can take place. I truly believe avoidance has to be abandoned so truth can be revealed. As you learn truth, you will be able to move with clarity and power. The goal is for you to feel confident in your decisions and supported as you move forward.

Personal Development

If you feel stuck or disconnected from who you are, you don’t have to stay there. I will help you to become grounded in your identity and direction. Together we will take an honest look at what has been shaping your thinking and behavior and begin to challenge what no longer aligns with who you are meant to be. I will help you move from simply existing to living with intention, giving you the tools to make decisions with confidence, follow through with a renewed commitment, and grow into a version of yourself that feels sincere and true.

Women’s Issues

As a woman, you may be carrying expectations, pressures, or internal struggles that are hard to put into words. You don’t have to hold that alone. I provide a space where you can be transparent about what you’re navigating, without judgment and without the need to have it all together. Together, we will gently and intentionally work through your identity, boundaries, emotional health, and relational dynamics. My goal is to help you come back to yourself so you can show up in your life with confidence, clarity, and strength.

Aging and Geriatric Issues

If you are navigating the changes that come with aging, whether in your own life or within your family, you don’t have to walk through this season alone. I will help you gently process the emotional, relational, and practical shifts that often come with it.
This may include changes in identity, personal desires, caregiving responsibilities, experiences of loss, or transitions in independence. Together, we will make space for what you’re experiencing while also bringing into focus how you will move forward. My aim is to help you approach this season with dignity, peace, renewed confidence, and a renewed appreciation for your voice

Family Counseling

Family dynamics can be complex, especially when communication has broken down or harmful patterns keep repeating without resolution. You don’t have to keep navigating these frustrations on your own. I will help you and your family slow down and begin to understand what has been happening beneath the surface presently and currently. Together, we will create space for each person to be heard and understood as we work through communication gaps, roles, unforgiveness, and what has been unspoken. The goal is not just to reduce conflict but to build a healthier foundation your entire family can begin to benefit from.
