Adolescents face pressures today that create a unique internal conflict. They are expected to excel academically, maintain a polished appearance, and navigate complex social relationships, including presenting a version of themselves that seems effortless to the outside world. On the other hand, they feel inadequate and unable to meet expectations. These conflicting messages fuel the anxiety that many teens experience today.
