We currently have 1 counselor in Kirkland
In Psalm 50:15 God says, “Call upon me in thy day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” My mom taught me this Scripture when I was three years old. I have used it many times in my life. We all struggle to reach out and let others help, but you are doing just that. You are asking God for guidance, you are calling out for help, and I believe that God will deliver you from your troubles. As a licensed counselor with over 30 years of experience, I will help you evaluate your current circumstances and accomplish your goals by using proven and effective techniques and strategies. As you draw from the power of the Holy Spirit, you will be led down the path of healing and purpose that God has for you.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) with training in EMDR and trauma-informed therapy, I have experience working with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, abandonment issues, trauma, relationship problems, bipolar disorder, abuse, infidelity, and more. My goal is to understand who God created you to be, and to work with you to create a treatment plan that will best fit your unique needs and goals as an individual. I’m genuinely curious about you, I have a great sense of humor, and you can’t shock me. I believe God is always faithful and can handle anything you’re experiencing. It would be my honor to witness His faithfulness in your life through your counseling journey.
Deciding to seek out a counselor can be difficult. Admitting you have an issue you can’t conquer on your own can be unbelievably humbling. We were not made to live in isolation, to figure everything out, or to get through all of life’s challenges alone. As one who has encountered storms in life, I can tell you that no matter how strong the wind and the waves may be, you can weather and overcome them through Jesus Christ. Combining my biblical and mental health training with my 23 years of experience in the field, I would be honored to come alongside you to help you find healing and restoration.
People are my calling. My job is to help people like you heal their lives, relationships, and families. With over two decades of experience helping tens of thousands of individuals, couples, and families, I offer empathy, a listening ear, and a healthy dose of wisdom. I am straightforward and often use humor in my practice. I believe it’s so important to be relaxed in this work. I work quickly and don’t waste time getting down to the business of healing people of all ages, backgrounds, genders, relationships, and cultures.
I desire to create an environment where you can feel safe, seen, and valued for who you are as an individual made in the image of God. I view our time together as a chance to learn, play, risk, heal, and come away impacted by one another. I employ humor and playfulness in sessions when it is appropriate, but also feel very comfortable with intense feelings of anger and grief. I am not overwhelmed easily by big feelings, so I will invite you to bring those in with you to our sessions instead of leaving them at the proverbial door.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA), I have experience working with children, teens, adult individuals, couples, families, and groups. In my practice I focus on the whole person – not just mental health, but also physical, emotional, and spiritual health. My desire is for you to experience growth in every area of your life and come to know the true and lasting joy that can be found in Jesus Christ. With compassion and grace, I offer counseling for a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflict, grief, abandonment, and much more.
Life is a series of transitions that can be very challenging. With God’s help, change is possible. As your counselor, I would be honored to hear you, see you, and work with you. I will assist you in any way I can, honestly, kindly, and wholeheartedly. Pursuing counseling is a courageous step you have already taken. I want to encourage you by saying that I am here for you, and together we can work through whatever challenges you may be facing. If you’re experiencing a life transition or a lingering hardship, Christian counseling is a great place to start to get the help you need.
Our humanness can drive us to unexpected places, and as dark and painful as this may be, those same places offer us a chance to find our courage, strength, beauty, and grace. With the humbleness and unconditional love of Christ, I will encourage you to pursue freedom from unwanted thoughts, habits, circumstances, and conditions. I will challenge you to embrace a life of courage with God’s help as you seek to make positive changes in your life that will have lasting implications for good.
As your therapist, I will provide you with a welcoming and safe space to explore the desired outcome of your life. With empathy and compassion, I will seek to see your experiences through your lens and work with you toward holistic healing – physical, emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual – with God’s help and direction. My desire is to walk alongside you on this journey and help you to realize the potential you have within to achieve greatness and restoration in your personal life and relationships.
